THE GLORIOUS QUR’AN - EL-MEHDI, MUHAMED (Translated by).
Privately Printed, Sarajevo, 1967.
Original yellow period cloth. 4to. (30 x 21 cm). In Bosnian (with Latin letters). [2], [181] p. ([2], 90, [1] p.). A note in red ink on the title page, else a very good copy.
Offset lithographed-reproduced typescript to rectos and versos, of this earliest Bosnian translation of the Glorious Qur’an, printed before the first known translation by Besim Korkut (1904-1975), who was a Bosnian and Bosniak writer, theologian, and Islamic scholar. This is the earliest known and rare but not complete Bosnian translation of the Glorious Quran including 604 chapters, and was probably prepared as a Ph.D. Thesis.
As of January 2024, we couldn’t find any copies in the OCLC and KVK.
