One of the most famous bahname in Ottoman times was titled Ruju' al-Shaykh ila Sibah fi al-Quwwah 'ala al-Bah [i.e. The return on the old man to youth through the power of sex] originally based on an Arabic text from the thirteenth century, with a Persian translation as an intermediary. This is also an Arabic edition on sexuality attributed to Sams Al-Din Ahmad b. Suleiman ibn-i Kamal, better known by his pen name Ibn Kemal or Kemalpasazâde [i.e. son of Kemal Pasha] (1469-1534), was an Ottoman historian, Sheikh ul-Islam, jurist, and poet. According to some sources, this 'bahnama' was written under the patronage of Sultan Selim I (the Steadfast) in 1519 in the 16th century. This edition is divided into two parts, each with thirty 'bâb's [i.e. chapters]. The first thirty chapters are devoted to men's secrets and what empowers them in their sexual lives in terms of nutrition and medicines. The next thirty chapters are devoted to the secrets of women, how to please them, and what medicine to use to increase pleasure. It's one of the early editions printed in Cairo, Egypt during the Egyptian Khedivate era of Abbas Hilmi Pasha (Abbas II of Egypt), (1892-1914). Rare. OCLC 1235562960.
