The first and only edition of this book in a dictionary form, published in the post-Perestroika period through the collaboration of two Azerbaijani researchers, compiles folk medical knowledge transmitted orally for centuries in the Caucasus and Azerbaijan.

The book brings together traditional treatment methods used among the people, herbal medicines and medicinal plants, remedies of animal and mineral origin, disease - symptom - treatment relationships, folk beliefs, rituals and practices, as well as traditional midwifery and preventive healthcare practices.
