Extremely rare first edition in book form of this first Turkish book of the defense of Freud's psychoanalysis in the Islamic society, also known as "Five Lessons in Psychoanalysis", translated by Tunç who was the Professor of Psychology at Darülfünun [i.e. University of Istanbul] and philosopher.

The book consists of five chapters including selected themes below 1-) Origin of psychoanalysis, Observations of Dr. Josef Breuer (1842-1925), psychic traumas, etc. 2-) New views on hysteria, quotation and strength, psychic conflict, psychoanalytic procedure, and method. 3-) Mental certainty and uncertainty, analysis of dreams, etc. 4-) Libido and psychosexual development, sexual attraction, auto-erotism, etc. 5-) Etiology of neuroses, the flight into illness (avoidance of an unsatisfactory reality), art, succession, etc.

This work was published in the second issue of the fourth volume of the Faculty of Letters of Darülfünûn (Darülfünûn Edebiyat Mecmuasi) in 1926. This is the first printed edition in book form.
