In Ottoman script (Old Turkish with Arabic letters). 228, [8] p., one b/w plate, one folded map titled “Kadîm Trakya haritasi” [i.e., Map of the Ancient Thrace] (28 x 28 cm). The map is in Latin with a title in Ottoman script (Arabic letters). Heavily marginal stains on the pages, chippings on extremities and spine, tear on back cover. Being preserved in a special modern box in binding form. Otherwise, a fair/good copy.

First and only edition of this very rare book whose author traces the origins of the Circassians in the Iliad and Odyssey and other ancient Greek sources, is one of the earliest and original examples of its kind. Yusuf Izzet was an Ottoman general of Circassian origin, who served both the Ottoman Army and the Turkish Army. The book was published as the third book of the series by the author.

After the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, he became the Commander and Military Representative of the North Caucasus Corps within the Government of the North Caucasus Republic, which was established with the support of the Caucasians in exile and the Ottoman Empire on May 11, 1918.
