Scarce first edition of this attractively and richly illustrated travel account of Morocco by Segonzac, written before he served as a captain in the French military aviation corps during WW1.

Segonzac was a French army officer and explorer, he carried out various exploration missions in Mahgreb and sub-Saharan Africa. - Cavalry Lieutenant (1891-1900). - Former student of the Military School of Saint-Cyr (1888), and the Special School of the Cavalry of Saumur (1889). - Sent on a mission to explore the coast of Côte d'Ivoire, alongside Lieutenant Paul Quiquerez (1863-1891). - Mobilized, he became an airplane pilot, with the rank of captain (1915), then squadron leader (in 1919).
