Extremely rare first issue of this apparently unregistered and all-published journal, published by the Circassian émigré group, and their local advisory council “Khase & Adyge Community”.

The aim of the journal is to teach the Circassian culture and language to the Circassian groups in Israel. In the journal, “the Adyghe alphabet" is taught and there are many reading passages for new readers and children. In addition, this journal includes some news about Circassians and the promotion of cultural activities such as traditional dances, theatre, etc. in bilingual languages with Hebrew and Circassian, with illustrations and maps. "Tiraj" [i.e., The number of circulations] is not specified.

Circassians in Israel are a branch of the Circassian diaspora, which was formed because of the 19th-century Circassian genocide that was carried out by the Russian Empire during the Russo-Circassian War; Circassians are a Northwest Caucasian ethnic group who natively speak the Circassian languages and originate from the historical country-region of Circassia in the North Caucasus. The majority of Circassians in Israel are Muslims. Israeli Circassians largely adhere to the Sunni branch of Islam; they number about 4,000–5,000 and live primarily in two towns: Kfar Kama (Кфар Кама), and Rehaniya (Рихьаные). They are descended from two Circassian diaspora groups who were settled in Galilee by the Ottoman Empire in the 1870s. (Wikipedia).
